I have created a new theme based on Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II. In this theme I have created a interesting new way to do the padlock on the lockscreek to make it look and feel like a lightsaber. I have done this by editing the target scrim and the wallpaper mask then I made the padlock its self completely transparent. This gives the right effect of a lightsaber.

Hey Everyone,

I have been busy creating some new themes for all to enjoy. I have been trying my hardest to create these themes for you the Palm Pre owners. I hope that you are a fan of my work.

I would like to thank Prethemer (@Prethemer) for all his hard work on his website, I would also like to thank him for letting me use his icons and making them my own to fit with my themes. I have found that creating icons for themes is the most difficult part of theming. Prethemer (@Prethemer) has created such an elegant icon set that works great with any theme. Thank you again Prethemer (@Prethemer).

I have always been a fan of Batman, as you can tell from the many themes I have created inspired by the character. This this theme is inspired by the 2004-2008 television shoe The Batman. I was a huge fan of the idea that Batman that the crew had a more modern communication device that was completely linked to the Bat-computer through the Batwave wireless communication system, so I turned that image into a theme for the Palm Pre.

Rating Theme's...

There is a reason why there is a rating system for things like themes, so that other people can take a look at all the cool and popular theme's that there are available for a device such as the Palm Pre. I don't understand what would make a person to rate themes with a rating of 1 star just because. It seems vindictive to me. I understand that there has been some controversy over Veritas06's and my Star Trek theme's, but is that really reason to rate all my contributions to PreThemer with a 1 star.

I will admit as I have many times, there are similarities between the two theme's. I understand that Veritas06's was out first. I will tell you right now... It is only a coincidence that these theme's are similar. I did not set out to copy Veritas06 in any way. I hope that people can see that the two theme's are actually quite different, I implore you to download both theme's and make a judgement on whether or not these themes are indeed really that similar. I can assure you that our themes were created the icons and wallpaper provided by The Iconfactory (<-- Take a look for yourself). With that said, I spent many hours on my theme utilizing photoshop to manipulate what you will see as my Star Trek theme.

I apologize if you feel that my theme is a blatant rip off of Veritas06's theme, but I can assure you that is not the case. Please take a look for your self

Theming Difficulties...

I love theming my Palm Pre so that it has a cool look to it. I have noticed that many people seem like and enjoy my themes, not just on PreThemer, but also those who see my phone out side of the cyber world. The biggest difficulty I have though it creating great looking icons. Icons are the one thing that I have the biggest trouble with. Quite honestly I wish that there was someone in my life that I could turn to and say "hey, this is the idea I have for a theme, go make me some icons," but I do not know anyone who uses photoshop as much as I do to even have to knowledge of where to start. If there is anyone out there who want to be my goto person for this kind of stuff, please don't hesitate to contact me (terryjmcginnis-at-gmail-dot-com). I have some new ideas I would like to start theming but the icons are going to be what prevents me from finishing them.

In the near future, I intend to make some changes to all my themes. I need to add some things. I have not had the time in the last couple of days to do thats as of yet. I will update the version #'s so that everyone will know right away when the changes have been done. Thanks.
